Bramley Grange Hearing Impaired Resource Base is a specialist provision that
ensures pupils with hearing loss receive the support they need while being fully
included in school life. We operate an integration model, meaning pupils from the
resource base join mainstream classes wherever possible, supported by expert staff
and technology.
Teachers of the Deaf and support staff work closely with pupils to meet individual
language and communication needs. Regular checks of hearing aids and cochlear
implants, use of FM systems, and acoustic adaptations in classrooms ensure optimal
listening conditions.
Classrooms are equipped with sound field systems and designed to reduce
background noise, supporting clear communication.
Inclusion
Pupils participate in mainstream lessons and school activities, promoting
social interaction and equal access to the curriculum.
All school staff receive ongoing training in Deaf awareness and inclusive
strategies.
Our Commitment
We aim to empower pupils with hearing impairments to thrive academically and
socially, while fostering understanding and inclusion across the whole school
community. By combining specialist expertise with inclusive practice, Bramley
Grange Primary School ensures every child has the opportunity to succeed.
